little italy

Many foreign tourists like Italy and I can understand them.
When you ask one of them why s/he likes Italy so much, most likely the answer will be "For the sun, for the climate, for the ancient art, for the food".
Incidentally I don't understand why some italians feel proud of this: sun and climate come from Mother Nature, the ancient art goes back at least a few centuries ago.
Remains the food... but even doing my best, I can't feel proud of a pizza margherita...
But I don't want to digress further; what I wanted to say is that Italy is a wonderful place for turism, but is not at all a good place to live in.
Italy is currently a country depressed, unmotivated, impolite, sad, hopeless.
I will not explain in details the reasons of this situation, just believe me:
Italy is nice for turism, not for live in.

Many voices one Mozilla...and one big thank you Mozilla!

I've been lucky to be invited to the MozCamp 2011 that took place in Berlin from 12th to 13th november.
It's been a very exciting human experience and so I want to thanks publicly Mozilla to have given to me this chance.
To meet worldwide (not just european) Mozilla community has made me for sure richer and proud to be a Mozillian!
I hope to be part more and more of this wonderful community.

A.M.O.

The most frequent question I got in these years, about my extensions, is: "Why they're not on A.M.O. (Addons.Mozilla.Org)?"
Some asked me this, to invite me to give more visibility to my extensions; some asked me this, with a light tone of suspect.

Recently I've decided to put on A.M.O. two of my extensions (ImportExportTools and PrintingTools), that are - in my opinion - quite useful and stable.
But I'm realizing that every update is a pain: for example, the 1.0.1 version of PrintingTools is available on my website since august 28th, but is still "under revision" on A.M.O.
So - for the moment - from a user perspective, the main result of my decision is that after 18 days, the new version is not available yet through automatic update!!!

I'm sorry for that and I hope that I'm being just unlucky and that future updates will be faster.
Anyway this experience makes me hesitate to put on A.M.O. other extensions, above all the ones that could need fast update, because they're under heavy development or are not totally stable.

In short: I don't know if AMO A.M.O. (stupid joke, in italian AMO means "I love").

7 is the perfect number...isn't it?

After summer holidays, on september I feel always at the beginning of a new "era".
And new "eras" are the perfect moment for future plans and intentions ... but - to be sincere - very rarely I succeed in making them real. Therefore this time I try to think big, at least I will not reproach myself for failure (hopefully!).
So...here is the 7 golden desires for new era!

- to meet Lady Gaga
- to have a party with all people that use my extensions
- to know everyday a new person
- to be able to move like the guy in Uberlin (REM song) video
- to find a new job
- to have a perfect english
- to become a Yoga guru

I'm currently in one of my favourite life situation: I'm doing a trip by car (in Germany), so of course I can't work to update my extensions for FF/TB 6.
I will do it at the end of august, be patient!

Things I hate today:
- the new Mozilla fast release cycle
- the procedure to recover the password for this blog
- the wireless connection too weak to reach my hotel room

life

My daily life sucks pretty much, but the same I appreciate a lot the life in itself

I don't want to live in the same world with people that say "Yes, the Oslo killer is crazy, but..." or that throw mud at Amy in the day of her death... so please can someone give me the address of another planet?
